Jeremy Russell
PHOTOGRAPHER
You should know two important things about me: 1) My beautiful wife and daughter are my everything. 2) Photography has shaped my entire life and I will never stop being excited to share it with others.
I grew up in a small town near Lake Michigan where I spent my early years in the high school darkroom and on the yearbook staff. In college I graduated with a B.S. in Photographic Imaging and became the University’s lead photographer for their Public Relations Department. The balance of art, business, and communication began here for me.
From there I headed west and lived in Pasadena, California where I spent four years as the Digital Imaging Manager for JBG Photo, a boutique photo agency that specialized in premium celebrity portraits. I spent most of my time retouching our images so they could be sold to magazines across the world and also engineered and refined their workflow and backup system. Our files were infinitely valuable to our business and photographers which finely tuned my attention to detail.
Eventually I knew I had to get back to a life that better matched my personality. Asheville had the small town feeling that I had left behind in Michigan and within a month I was working full time for an established local wedding photographer. I eventually started my own business and have photographed hundreds of weddings, elopements, and micro weddings over the last decade.
My life as a photographer has somehow led me to you and I can’t wait to connect with you both!
